This Content Usage and Attribution Policy (the “Policy”) applies to ME Academy’s Learning Management System (LMS), SME Hub, websites, and any pages, apps, or materials We operate (collectively referred to as “Platforms”). Thank You for Your interest in sharing, using and/or republishing Our Content.  By using Our Content and/or Our Platforms, You agree to the terms of and to be bound by this Policy, which outlines guidelines for using, sharing, and/or republishing Our Content. If a separate contract or the Affiliate Programme Terms apply, the terms of such document will prevail, where they conflict with this Policy.  

1. Definitions

Commercial use means use intended to generate revenue, directly or indirectly, including paid advertising, paid training, or inclusion in products or services.

Content means any material We create or own, including text, images, graphics, charts, videos, audio, animations, course materials, templates, toolkits, documents, slide decks, and trademarks and logos. 

We, Our, Us means ME Academy

You, Yours means any person or organisation using Our Content. 

2. The Licence We Grant You

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:

• share links to Our pages on social media or by email; and
• quote up to 75 words of any single text page or lesson for commentary, review, or academic use.

This licence does not allow re-publication of Our full text pages, lessons, PDFs, PPTs, DOCs, templates, or toolkits on the web or in print. You must not copy, mirror, scrape, or train AI models on Our Content without Our prior written permission.

3 Use of images, graphics, and videos

You may embed or re-share Our original images, charts, info-graphics, cartoons, and videos without modification if You include the attribution required in clause 5 (Attribution requirements) and retain any watermarks, logos, and captions. You may not edit, crop, re-colour, remove branding, or create derivative works unless We approve this in writing. Stock images purchased or licensed by Us are excluded from this permission.

4. Prohibited uses

You must not:

• re-publish full text content, lessons, or downloadable files;
• monetise Our Content, sell it, or include it in paid products, courses, or membership sites without written permission;
• imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by ME Academy;
• use Our trademarks, logos, or brand names in business names, domain names, app names, social handles, or paid keyword bidding;
• use Our Content in a misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or unlawful way;
• frame Our pages, use inline linking that disguises the source, or deploy automated scraping.

5. Attribution requirements

If you quote or share Our Content, you must:

• always name “ME Academy” as the source.
• include a working link to the exact page you are referencing (or the landing page for gated content).
• for references to ME Academy’s downloadable content offers behind a form, please link to the landing page URL with the form for that individual offer.
• make clear any changes you make (if We have agreed in writing to allow such changes).
• undertake to, and ensure that the Content is not used:

• in a manner that is misleading, defamatory, libellous, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable; 
• in connection with any material that infringes the trademark, copyright, or any other rights of any third party; 
• as part of the name of a product or service of a business other than ME Academy; or 
• in a manner that infringes, derogates, dilutes, or impairs the rights of ME Academy. 

• avoid suggesting We endorse You.

6. Requests to remove content

We may revoke the licence in clause 2 (The Licence We Grant You) at any time. If We ask you to remove or correct a use of Our Content, You must do so promptly.

7. Reporting infringement (notice-and-takedown)

If you believe Our Content is being used without permission on Our Platforms or elsewhere, please email support@me-academy.org with: a description of the work, where it appears, Your contact details, and a statement that You are the owner or authorised to act. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and suspend repeat infringers’ accounts. We may also notify affected users and, where appropriate, restore Content if a proper counter-notice is received.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We will post the new date at the top. Continued use of Our Platforms after We post changes means You accept them.

10. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising under or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the State High Court in Lagos State.

11. Updates to the Policy 

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated via Our website. Your continued use of Our Content constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
